One of the key deliverables of the Communication Consultant is the Communications Strategy and Action Plan. The development of Communications Strategy and Implementation Action Plan involved among other things the presentation of a draft copy of Communications Strategy and Action Plan to the Project Implementation Unit (PIU), Key Stakeholders and the Experts Committee for validation.
The main goal of this assignment is to ensure adequate communication and project visibility among the key stakeholders regarding all activities of the project. It also aims at attracting potential investors for the construction phase of the highway.
In March 2022, Moriah Trust Limited submitted a draft Communications Strategy and Action Plan for validation.
The validation workshop was held between April 26th and 27th 2022 in Abidjan Cote d’Ivoire. The meeting was both physical and virtual as some participants were not able to attend due to COVID 19 Protocols and restrictions. However, Technical Experts from all the Corridor member Countries, ECOWAS infrastructure Department, African Development Bank (AfDB), European Union (EU) and Moriah Trust Limited attended the two-day event.
